simple and healthy food

Puffed rice snack

Ingredients:
1. Puffed rice 1/4 kg
2. Carrot 1 cup (cut into thin slices)
3. Green chillies 3(finely chopped)
4. Coriander leaves, small bunch (finely chopped)
5. Onion 1 (finely chopped)
6. oil 2tsp
7. Curry leaves(finely chopped)
8. Salt to taste

Method:

Soak puffed rice in water for 2-3mins. Drain water completely and keep aside. Heat a pan. Add oil, finely chopped onions, chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves and saute the onion well. Next, add the carrot and soaked puffed rice. Cook for 3mins. Serve hot.



Ragi sweet semiya

Ingredients:
1. Ragi semiya 1/4kg
2. sugar 4tsp
3. Scraped coconut 1 cup
4. Cardamon powder- a pinch

Method:

Boil water and add ragi semiya, stir and remove it when cooked. Pour out the water. Take a bowl, add boiled ragi semiya, sugar, cardamon powder, scraped coconut and mix it well, now it is ready to serve.



Cucumber buttermilk

Ingredients:
1. Cucumber-1 medium
2. Ginger- 1/2inch, peeled
3. Coriander leaves-small bunch
4. Curry leaves 8-10
5. Pepper to taste
6. Salt to taste
7. Fresh curd
8. jeera powder 1/2tsp
9. Mint 2 springs

Method:

Wash and wipe cucumber. Cut off the 2 ends of the cucumber and rub the respective cut surfaces together to extract the bitterness. Peel skin and chop into smaller pieces. Finly grind together all ingredients except jeera powder and mint in a mixer. Add ice if needed. Garnish with jeera powder and mint.
